Trasa

On September 2, at around 6.15pm, a column of 3rd AD tanks from Nouvelles entered Mesvin via the rue du cimetière (now the Voie américaine).

It crossed the village in the direction of Hyon to the cheers of the villagers. The Americans bivouacked in the large quadrilateral bounded by the rue des Canadiens, the railway line (now the Ravel), the rue Brunehault, the Place de Mesvin and the present-day rue d'Hyon. It's an impressive gathering of tanks, half-tracks and trucks of all kinds. Two Tank Destroyers lay in ambush on rue Brunehault to secure the southern access to the bivouac area.
