This museum is dedicated to telling the story of the actions of the French Army and the German Army in their advance through the Ardennes region and the River Meuse in Belgium in 1940.

The museum is spread out over several floors and contains many original uniforms, relics recovered from the battlefield, photographs and maps.

The concept of the museum is to honour the memory of the French Army who fought in Belgium in May 1940. After the war, some narratives suggested that the French surrendered quickly and there was a lack of willingness to fight. The museum helps to break down this myth and tell the stories of the actions of the French troops in May 1940.

One of the original rubber dinghies used by the German Army during the crossing of the River Meuse in 1940 was recovered several years ago and is displayed in the museum. The museum also offers tours around the Meuse area.
